Woman Killed in Fort Duchesne 7-Vehicle Crash on State Route 40 near Ute Petroleum
Fort Duchesne, Utah (August 28, 2019) – A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon, August 27, in a seven-vehicle crash in Fort Duchesne, according to the authorities.
The crash happened on State Route 40, in front of Ute Petroleum, near mile marker 121.5.
UHP said six vehicles were stopped in the SR-40 eastbound travel lane when the driver of a speeding eastbound blue Toyota Tundra didn’t see the stopped vehicles.
The Tundra then crashed into a red Chevrolet Canyon pickup which was among the stopped vehicles, causing a chain-reaction crash.
The Canyon driver was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
