Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at Sunset and Dixie Drive in St. George

Elderly Woman Hospitalized after St. George Two-Vehicle Crash at Sunset and Dixie Drive

St. George, Utah (March 18, 2020) – An elderly woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in St. George, according to the police.

The crash happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. March 17, at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Dixie Drive.

Police said the woman was driving a tan Pontiac four-door passenger car westbound on Sunset Boulevard when she entered the intersection to make a left-hand turn to head southbound on Dixie Drive.

At the same time, a black Ford Escape was heading eastbound on Sunset Boulevard. It had a green light and continued through the intersection.

The Pontiac then struck the Ford as it crossed into oncoming traffic to make the turn.

The Pontiac driver was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center in an unknown condition.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

We wish the injured victim a quick recovery.

Causes of Car Accidents

Although we tend to call them “accidents,” most car crashes are the direct result of a driver’s careless or negligent actions, according to William Enoch Andrews, an experienced serious injury attorney. Major causes of accidents on our highways are drunk driving, distracted driving, speeding, reckless driving and drowsy driving,” Mr. Andrews added.

No matter what the cause of your accident was, you shouldn’t try to go it alone against the insurance companies. Utah is a no-fault state and operates under a modified comparative negligence rule, so establishing fault and being awarded maximum compensation is not easy to accomplish on your own.

Injury attorney William Enoch Andrews knows how to get you what you deserve and will fight for you every step of the way. He will be here to help you through the hard times.
