Salt Lake City, Utah (October 1, 2019) – A woman was injured Monday morning in a pedestrian accident in Salt Lake City, a local news source reported.

The accident took place around 6:48 a.m. September 30, in the area of 780 N and 900 West.

Police said a truck driver was heading southbound on 900 West approaching the intersection when they hit the woman who was in a crosswalk.

The woman was wearing all black and had headphones on at the time of the accident. She was taken to the hospital with a suspected broken leg.

Police said there were no traffic light and no stop sign at the crosswalk

The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Impairment was not a factor in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
