Two Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-15 in Kanarraville
2 Hospitalized after Kanarraville Two-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15
Kanarraville, Utah (February 11, 2020) – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening in Iron County near Kanarraville, according to the authorities.
The crash occurred on Monday, February 10, on northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 48.
Police said a black Jeep Wrangler and a black Peterbilt semi-truck were traveling northbound in the outside travel lane. The semi was traveling at about 75mph while the Jeep was traveling slower than the semi-truck. The semi-truck ended up rear-ending the Jeep.
The impact of the collision sent the Jeep off the shoulder where it rolled over.
The male driver and a female passenger in the Jeep were extricated and were airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
All the people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation.
