1-Year-Old Girl Dies in Marion Pedestrian Accident on 2700 North
Marion, Utah (August 27, 2019) – A toddler was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday evening in Marion, according to a local news source.
The fatal accident was reported at about 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24 on 2700 North.
As per the report, the 1-year-old girl and her family were celebrating a birthday party when the child started heading for the road.
The girl’s mother began chasing after her but couldn’t reach the child in time. The girl was hit by a sedan.
The girl was airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City where she succumbed to her injuries Sunday.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers.
The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
