Baylan B. Nelson ID’d as Man Killed in Price Canyon Crash on US 6
Price Canyon, Utah (September 17, 2019) – The man who was killed in a head-on collision Friday morning in Price Canyon has been identified as Baylan B. Nelson,22, of Huntington, according to the police.
The crash occurred at about 3:18 a.m. September 13, on US 6, at milepost 226.
UHP said a semi was heading westbound on the highway when it attempted to pass a slower semi in a no-passing zone, on a grade, and on a corner. The semi then crashed head-on into an eastbound Ford F-350 driven by Nelson.
Nelson was declared dead at the scene.
SR-6 was closed, and traffic was diverted onto Emma Park Road and SR-191.
Charges are pending against the driver of the semi.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
