Mavil Labra ID’d as Woman Killed in South Salt Lake Car Crash at 2700 South and 300 West
South Salt Lake, Utah (January 12, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on New Year’s Day in South Salt Lake has been identified as Mavil Labra,31, of West Valley City, according to the authorities.
The deadly crash happened on January 1, in the area of 2700 South and 300 West.
According to the police, Wilonja Lusungu, 46, of Salt Lake City, was driving when he collided with a vehicle driven by Labra at the intersection.
Labra was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
Lusungu was also taken to the hospital for treatment. He was then booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
An investigation is underway.
