Kayla Williamson Dies after Eagle Mountain Car Crash at Cory B. Wride Memorial Highway and Sunset Drive

Eagle Mountain, Utah (August 31, 2019) – Kayla Williamson, 23, of Lehi was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Eagle Mountain, according to the authorities.

The incident was reported at about 2:15 p.m. August 29, on Cory B. Wride Memorial Highway and Sunset Drive.

Authorities Williamson was driving a small SUV southbound on Sunset Drive when she was allegedly distracted and failed to stop for a red light. She then entered the intersection and was hit by a large dump truck carrying Asphalt and which was westbound on Cory B. Wride Memorial Highway.

Williamson was airlifted to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, where she was later pronounced deceased.

No other injuries were reported.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
