57-Year-Old Man Killed in Moab Paragliding Accident near Moab Airport
Moab, Utah (October 10, 2019) – A Colorado man was killed in a paragliding accident Sunday afternoon, west of Canyonlands Field Airport, in Moab, according to officials.
The accident took place at about 5:28 p.m. October 6, south of Blue Hills Road and west of U.S. Route 191.
Officials said the man had been paragliding with friends when he crashed. The type of system he was using was a backpack/harness mounted paraglider.
The victim was killed in the accident.
No further details were provided.
An investigation is underway.
