One Injured in St. George Two-vehicle Crash on Snow Canyon Parkway at 1400 West

St. George, Utah (October 3, 2019) – One person was injured in a T-Bone crash Wednesday morning in St. George, according to a local news source.

The crash happened on Wednesday, October 2, on Snow Canyon Parkway at 1400 West.

As per the article, a 17-year-old was driving a silver Honda Odyssey northbound on 1400 West when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with a black Dodge Charger, which was eastbound on Snow Canyon Parkway.

The Honda driver sustained minor injuries to her arm. The Dodge driver was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center by family, although no injuries were apparent at the scene.

The Honda driver was cited for failure to yield when making a left turn and driving without a proper driver’s license.

The crash remains under investigation.

Two Injured in Rear-End Crash on SR 56 in Cedar City

2 Hospitalized after Cedar City Three-Vehicle Crash on SR 56 

Cedar City, Utah (October 1, 2019) – Two people were injured in a rear-end crash Monday evening in Cedar City, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on September 30, on state Route 56 at 2150 West, east of Cove Drive.

Police said a male juvenile was driving a white Ford Fusion, with two other juvenile passengers, eastbound when he reached traffic that had backed up in a construction zone.

The Fusion then rear-ended a Toyota Scion with two occupants. The impact caused the Scion to hit a Toyota Corolla before coming to rest on the opposite side of the roadway.

A passenger in the Scion was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One of the two passengers in the Fusion was treated at the scene for a cut on his hand.

The Fusion and the Scion had to be towed away from the scene.

The Fusion driver was cited for following too closely.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

The bus driver didn’t see a white Nissan Altima which was heading eastbound on 100 South, and it pulled out in front of traffic, resulting in a collision.

The Altima driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

No one on the bus was injured.

The bus driver was cited for failure to yield after a stop.

West Valley City, Utah (September 30, 2019) – One person was injured in a hit-and-run three-vehicle crash Wednesday night in West Valley City, according to officials.

The crash took place just before 8:15 p.m. September 25, at the intersection of Redwood Road and 3500 South.

Officials said three vehicles, including a Silver 2002 Cadillac Escalade collided at the intersection.

The Escalade driver, Marcelino DeJesus-Paredes, 21, fled the scene on foot.

One of the other drivers was taken to Intermountain Medical Center by private vehicle in an unknown condition.

Officers found multiple empty beer cans in the Escalade.

Paredes was arrested on Friday and is facing charges including, failure to remain at an accident involving injury, a class A misdemeanor; open container/drinking alcohol in a vehicle, a class C misdemeanor; no valid license– never obtained license, a class C misdemeanor and failure to yield right of way, an infraction.

An investigation is underway.
