2 Struck, Killed by Car on Main Street in Moab

Two Killed in Moab Pedestrian Accident on Main Street

Moab, Utah (August 23, 2019) – Two people were killed Thursday night in a pedestrian accident in downtown Moab, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on Thursday, August 22, in front of the Big Horn Lodge on Main Street (Highway 191).

Police said two people, a male, and female were attempting to cross the street outside of a crosswalk when they were hit by a car.

Both victims were killed in the crash. The victims’ identities have not been disclosed.

Highway 191 northbound lanes were closed at Kane Creek Blvd., and southbound lanes were closed at 300 south, following the crash.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

An investigation is ongoing.
