2 Airlifted after Jeep and Semi Crash on I-15 in Iron County
Two Seriously Injured in Kanarraville Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 15
Kanarraville, Utah (February 15, 2020) – According to the UHP, two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening in Iron County.
The collision occurred just after 6:30 p.m., February 10, on northbound Interstate 15 between mile marker 48 and the Hamilton Fort exit.
UHP said a black Jeep Wrangler and a black Peterbilt semi-truck were traveling northbound in the outside travel lane. The semi was traveling at about 75mph while the Jeep was traveling slower than the semi-truck. The semi-truck then rear-ended the Jeep.
The impact of the collision sent the Jeep off the shoulder where it rolled over.
Both occupants of the Jeep were airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
All the people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation.
