One Seriously Injured in St. George Two-Vehicle Crash at 3700 W and State Street; Thomas Urda Arrested
St. George, Utah (September 17, 2019) – One person was seriously injured in an alleged hit-and-run crash Wednesday night in St. George, a local news source reported.
The crash happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. September 11, in the area of 3700 W and State Street.
Police said two vehicles collided and one of the drivers left the scene.
The other driver was found unconscious at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The suspect, Thomas Urda, 58, was later arrested and taken to Purgatory Correctional Facility. He was charged with two third-degree felonies, including one count of DUI with serious bodily injury and one count of failing to remain at the scene of a crash with a serious injury.
The crash remains under investigation.
