3 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on SR-89 in Sanpete County

Three Hospitalized after Sanpete County Crash on State Route 89

Sanpete County, Utah (October 12, 2019) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Sanpete County, two miles southwest of Mount Pleasant, according to a local news release.

The crash occurred just after 9:30 p.m. on October 11, on State Route 89 near mile marker 275.

UHP said a Chevy pickup truck was traveling behind a minivan when the truck tried to pass the minivan on the right shoulder. There is no shoulder there, and the pickup went off the roadway, pulled back into the travel lane and hit the minivan

The two people in the minivan were airlifted to the hospital with very serious injuries.

The Chevy driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
